Yes – you can install temporary pool fencing around an above ground pool, but you must also have a temporary pool gate as well.

Please note though – there are different rules and requirements for using temporary pool fences if your above ground pool is only a temporary installation. We recommend that you contact your local council officer – as the requirements change between LGA (Local Government Area).

In all instances though, you should always have compliant temporary pool fence available on site before water is put into a swimming pool.

A concrete pool may take many months to cure. As soon as the concrete has been poured, the pool is capable of holding 300mm of water – Queensland laws require a compliant temporary pool fence around the pool.

The temporary pool fence is signed off by a building certifier (not a pool inspector). Most building certifiers now request a pool gate is installed as well – with the logic that it means trade and services companies will not remove the pool fence panels, as there is an access point.

Council officers have the right to enter your property at any time, and if a complaint has been made about your fence – then they have to attend and undertake a preliminary inspection.

They may request you to take immediate action to make your existing pool safe – and this may include the instruction of installing temporary pool fence within 24hrs.

First, ensure there are no damaged power cables in the areas – if there are – cordon off the area, and contact the relevant authorities.

As a pool owner, you are responsible for maintaining a compliant pool fence at all times – even if it has been storm damaged.

We work with a number of insurance companies across SE Queensland – and can make emergency out of hours deliveries and installations for you.

You will need to provide all your contact details, and the amount of fencing that is required. We will invoice you directly – which you can then supply to your insurance company.

If there are damaged trees still in the area, or damaged buildings – we may supply additional fence and cordon off a larger area than the original fence.

The hire starts on the day of delivery/installation.

The hire ends on the day you have been quoted.

Generally, most rentals are for an initial month hire – and are extended as required.

If you wish to extend the hire, you need to advise us 5 business days before the end date.

We require 5 business day notice of end of hire.

If you no longer require the fence whilst in your first initial hire period (and want to return it early), there are no part credits or refunds.

Once you have accepted the quote, you will be emailed the invoice for the initial hire period.

The email has a link where you can pay for the rental online – using a debit or credit card

(standard merchant fees apply) – or you can pay directly via bank deposit.

If you want to extend the rental – then a new invoice is sent for the extended rental period.

If you wish to access trade terms, then you will need to contact us and request a trade account form. This is for glaziers; pool inspectors; landscapers, builders etc.

We cannot provide trade terms without this form being pre-completed.

For most installations, we allow at least a metre on either side of the pool. For example – if you have a 7m x 4m pool – on 2 of the sides you will need 9m (7m pool + 1m + 1m), and for the width you will need 6m (4m pool + 1m + 1m). So, the total will be 30 linear metre (9 + 9 + 6 + 6).

The equipment is always the responsibility of the hirer whilst it is in your possession. If the equipment is stolen, please advise us as soon as possible.

We will provide an invoice for the cost of the equipment that is stolen, allowing you to make a claim on your insurance company.

In addition, the equipment rental charges will continue until we have received cleared payment for the loss of the equipment.

The equipment is always the responsibility of the hirer whilst it is in your possession. If the equipment is damaged, please advise us as soon as possible.

We will ask for a brief description and maybe photos.

We will then make a brief assessment of the repairs/replacement costs. This will allow you to follow up with any parties that may have damaged the equipment.

All our goods are photographed on leaving the depot and on installation.

If on collection, there are damaged or lost goods – then fees will apply.

As we have our own workshop, we try and keep the fee as low as possible for repairs of broken panels or gates.

All our installations are photographed before the installer leaves site.

The fence is as its name – temporary. On construction sites, you will have many service and trade companies that may require the fence to be moved or relocated for them to do their work.

It is the responsibility of the hirer or their site manager to ensure that the fence is compliant at all times.

Extra attention should be made to the pool gate – to ensure it closes from all positions. If it does not – then the hinge tension and latch position can be easily adjusted to ensure it does.

Full terms and conditions are supplied with invoice.
