Temporary Pool Fence Hire

Embarking on the journey of building a pool brings excitement and anticipation for the oasis of relaxation and fun that will soon grace your property. However, amidst the hustle and bustle of construction, ensuring safety remains a paramount concern. Temporary fencing is a crucial component during the pool construction process, creating a secure environment for workers, preventing accidents, and complying with regulations.

In this article, we will explore what temporary fencing you require when building a pool to ensure a safe and smooth construction process.

1. Construction Site Safety

Before we delve into the types of temporary fencing, let’s underscore the significance of construction site safety. Pool construction sites are dynamic environments with heavy equipment, tools, and potential hazards. Proper temporary fencing not only safeguards workers and the public but also minimizes liabilities.

2. Temporary Pool Fencing

Temporary Pool Fencing are metal panels that are 1.2m (1200mm) tall. There are different styles of temporary pool fence panels – most designs are secured in place by mounting them on a solid base (foot plate), other designs use star pickets – but these are only generally suitable for soft grounds when your pool is being excavated, and not suitable for concrete/pavers.

3. Temporary Industrial Mesh Fence

Industrial Mesh fence panels are 1.8m (1800mm) tall and are mounted on large heavy base supports. They cannot be used in Queensland around a pool that is under construction, as the panels are considered climbable. They can be used in other states in Australia.

4. Boundary Fences

Whilst your pool is under construction, you are able to use your boundary fence (such as a timber paling fence) as a pool fence, as long as it meets the relevant compliance requirements. These can either be 1800mm on the pool side, or 1800mm on the outside of the property – ensuring there is a non-climbable zone of 900mm from the top of the fence.

5. Safety Signage

At all times, whilst a pool is either under construction or is complete and has water in it – a CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) sign is required to be displayed.

In addition, during swimming pool construction – a warning danger sign should be clearly displayed, advising both workers and other people of the potential hazards on site.

Temporary fencing during pool construction is more than just a regulatory requirement; it’s a pivotal step in maintaining a safe environment for everyone involved.

The provision of temporary pool fencing ensures a secure construction site that prevents accidents and also unwanted access by unauthorized personnel.

By prioritizing safety through proper temporary fencing, you’re not only protecting the people involved but also paving the way for a successful and stress-free pool construction process.
